Smart (toe) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Wizards, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.

Smart will miss his second straight game with a sprained toe on his left foot, but he would figure to have a good chance to return for the Celtics' next game Tuesday after nearly a week of rest. Isaiah Thomas will likely start in Smart's place Friday, as was the case Wednesday.
