Ariza underwent arthroscopic debridement surgery on his right ankle Wednesday and will be reevaluated in eight weeks, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ariza missed the first two games of the preseason due to the ankle issue, and he'll now be sidelined for the first two months of the campaign after going under the knife. The 17-year veteran was expected to be a key role player for the Lakers after inking a one-year deal in August, but he won't be taking the court until a least mid-December. Kent Bazemore, Talen Horton-Tucker, Malik Monk and Carmelo Anthony could all be more involved for Los Angeles with Ariza sidelined.
