Scott will likely remain out of the rotation during the Eastern Conference Finals, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Scott has not played since Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and he revealed to reporters Thursday that coach Mike Budenholzer informed him that he'd been removed from the rotation. "Coach came to me and said he wanted to give (Mike Muscala) a shot," Scott said. "I support my teammates. Of course, I'm a competitor and I want to be out there with my teammates but I'm going to be a great teammate for my team." Scott, who was a major part of the bench rotation throughout the season, said he is 100 percent healthy, so this looks to simply be a situation in which Budenholzer is more comfortable with Muscala as the backup power forward. Budenholzer also noted that DeMarre Carroll's knee injury will not impact Scott or Muscala's minutes. "Mike is primarily a 4-man," Budenholzer said. "An injury to a 3-man does not trickle down. There is some opportunity but I don't think DeMarre being injured as that kind of trickle down that maybe people are inferring or thinking." Carroll continues to be listed as questionable in advance of Friday's Game 2.
