Richardson (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's tilt with the Magic, but is reportedly "fairly close" to making his return, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Richardson has missed the last 17 games, with a Jan. 6 matchup against the Clippers being the last time he was on the court for the Heat. While he's not going to be available for Monday's contest, it appears Richardson is on the brink of a return and the Heat haven't ruled out the possibility of potentially having him for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. That said, with Wednesday being the last game until the All-Star break, the Heat could play it safe and give Richardson another week and a half off for added recovery.
