Isaac is continuing to rehab his surgically repaired left knee, but the Magic haven't yet revealed a timeline for the 24-year-old to resume playing, Adam Shadoff of Fox 35 Orlando reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even though Isaac underwent surgery to repair his torn ACL in early August of 2020, he's on track to take longer to make his return to the Magic lineup than Markelle Fultz, who suffered the same injury last January. Fultz's timeline is similarly unclear, but he's at least been able to resume practicing in the G League, while Isaac is believed to be limited to non-contact on-court work more than 17 months after suffering his injury. Given his uncertain timeline, along with the fact he'll almost certainly face some sort of restriction with his minutes if and when he does return, Isaac is tough to justify holding in shallower leagues with limited injured reserve slots.
