Detroit recalled Lanier from the Motor City Cruise of the G League on Sunday.

Lanier has spent time with both the Pistons and its G League affiliate. He has filled in as an injury replacement in the rotation while players like Ausar Thompson and Tobias Harris were sidelined dealing with respective injuries.
