Raptors coach Dwane Casey expects the pace to be slower than it was to start last season. Last year, Toronto started the season playing a fast pace and went 4-19. After a switch in philosophy by Casey, the team hovered around .500 for the rest of the year. The team is hoping the slower pace will increase 3-point opportunities, which is why it brought in Tyler Hansbrough and Steve Novak. The Raptors ranked 26th in 3-point percentage last season.
