Okeke totaled four points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes off the bench Sunday in the Magic's 107-100 win over the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the Magic's first six games of the season while recovering from a bone bruise in his hip, Okeke has now suited up in each of the Magic's subsequent five contests. Though the second-year forward routinely started for the Magic following the All-Star break last season, Okeke appears to have fallen behind first-round pick Franz Wagner in the pecking order at forward. Additionally, head coach Jamahl Mosley's use of a two-center starting lineup of Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter has left fewer minutes available at power forward, and playing time in the frontcourt could become even more difficult to come by once Jonathan Isaac (knee) is cleared to make his season debut. Okeke, who is averaging 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.8 steals in 18.6 minutes per game, could have a tough time seeing his production ramp up from here as the Magic gradually get healthier.
