Pending free agent Trevor Booker stated in a recent interview "a lot of teams are calling right now, [and] we're in negotiations with a few different teams." Booker probably shouldn't have said that considering that he's still under contract with the Wizards until June 30, and he's not even allowed to negotiate with other teams until July 1. What Booker is describing is called "tampering," and as we saw with Phil Jackson earlier this month, it's possible the league dishes out a fine to the teams that have reached out to Booker.
