Covington supplied 18 points (6-14 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and three steals in 30 minutes during Friday's 121-92 loss to the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
In a game during which Los Angeles fell behind by 37 points at halftime and had no starter score in double-digits, the most surprising development may have been Covington finishing as the team's leading point-producer. The defensive-minded forward entered Friday averaging just 8.1 points since joining the team, and he hadn't scored 18 points in any contest since Jan. 10. This offensive output isn't likely to be a trend moving forward, so his viability in fantasy will likely continue to depend almost entirely on his ability to rack up defensive stats, as he also did Friday.
