Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said Monday that Primo is nursing a minor groin injury at the onset of training camp, Dan Weiss of Bally Sports San Antonio reports.
EDGE Analysis
One of the youngest players eligible for selection in July's draft, Primo won't turn 19 years old until Christmas Eve and isn't expected to be a member of the Spurs' regular rotation to begin his professional career. With that in mind, Primo's groin issue shouldn't be anything that affects how the Spurs divvy up the minutes among their guards to begin the 2021-22 campaign, though the rangy wing could still miss out on some meaningful developmental time in the preseason.
