Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey had his third-year option picked up by the team on Saturday. The No. 6 overall selection of the 2021 NBA Draft averaged 12.5 points, 7.8 boards, and 6.4 assists in 54 games. Unfortunately, his rookie campaign ended early due to a hip injury. Giddey is now healthy heading into the 2022-23 season, where he will reclaim his role in the starting lineup.
