Wright won't be available for Monday's game against the Bulls after entering the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Trae Young already in the protocols, Wright had started the past three games while averaging 11.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 triples and 1.7 steals in 35.7 minutes. He looked primed for another big-minute role Monday, but instead, Wright is now due to miss time after becoming the 11th Hawks player to be placed in the protocols. Atlanta still has 10 players available -- two above the league-required minimum -- so Monday's game is still expected to be played as scheduled. Look for Skylar Mays and Cat Barber to absorb most of the minutes at point guard until at least one of Young or Wright is cleared to play.
