Moultrie was traded to the Knicks on Monday and promptly waived, Steve Popper of The Record reports. Phily sent Moultrie to New York in exchange for Travis Outlaw, a 2019 second-round pick, and the right to swap 2018 second-round picks with the Knicks. New York, which saves money by not having to release Outlaw and his $3 million contract, waived Moultrie immediately, clearing a spot on the roster for Travis Wear. Outlaw is also expected to be waived by Philadelphia, so both players will be seeking new homes as the season begins.
