Morris appeared in 38 games for the Nets in 2014-15, averaging 2.2 points and1.3 assists in 7.9 minutes per game. The former Michigan standout signed on with the Nets in December, filling the roster spot vacated after the team dealt Andrei Kirilenko and Jorge Gutierrez. Morris saw the vast majority of his minutes in garbage time, but he made a cameo in the rotation while Deron Williams was injured in January. Morris played double-digit minutes in nine January games, averaging 4.1 points and 1.7 assists in 12.5 minutes per game for the month. He shot just 35.9 percent from the field and 22.7 percent from three, however. Upon Williams' return, Morris found himself glued to the bench, and he would remain in that role through the end of the regular season and into the playoffs. Heading into the offseason, Morris remains under contract with the Nets, but his deal is only partially guaranteed for next season. That means he'll have a shot to make the opening night roster, though he's among the top candidates to be waived if a roster spot needs to be opened up.
