Mitch Kupchak said on Wednesday that the Lakers plan on picking up the option on Andrew Bynum's contract for next season. This was a virtual given, although it's still possible the Lakers could trade the big man in an effort to make another run at a championship. Kupchak would not comment on Bynum's future with the team, other than the fact they'll pick up his option.
