McDermott is dealing with a concussion and will not play Tuesday against Portland, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald reports.

McDermott sustained the concussion while taking a nasty fall on a drive to the rim during Sunday's win over the Wizards. Coach Fred Hoiberg said the Creighton product will not make the trip to Portland with the team Tuesday and also called McDermott "doubtful" for Thursday's matchup with the Jazz. In McDermott's absence, expect to see more of Nikola Mirotic off the bench, while Jimmy Butler could be thrust into an even larger role, temporarily.
