Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart (ankle) was talking to reporters when he said that he's making "small improvements" but is still unsure when he's going to return to the court. As of right now, the ninth-year guard is considered day-to-day and the Celtics have more incentive to take it slow as the team remains at the top of the Eastern Conference. Since he's been out, Derrick White, Malcolm Brogdon, and even Payton Pritchard have filled in admirably.
