Macklin has agreed to a non-guaranteed contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, RealGM reports. Macklin played last season in Turkey instead of accepting training camp invites, but this season Macklin will try to secure a spot with the Pelicans. The former Florida Gator played Summer League ball with the Orlando Magic, averaging 5.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game. In his lone NBA season�back in 2011-12 with the Detroit Pistons�Macklin played sparingly, appearing in just 23 games and playing shy of six minutes per contest. He'll face an uphill battle to secure a roster spot in New Orleans.
