"You've got to change your body a little bit. And I'm not a young pup no more, but it's just about the future for me, it's about being healthy," Lowry explained.

The 29-year-old point guard faded badly towards the end of last season as nagging injuries took their toll on him, so Lowry's efforts to find a way to stay healthy are certainly worth noting. That said, he still plays a physical style of basketball, so it remains to be seen whether the new, trimmer Lowry will be better able to withstand the rigors of a full campaign.
