Lin (hamstring) will play in Monday's game against the Rockets, but expects to be on a minutes restriction, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lin was already considered probable for Monday's contest, so it was fully expected he'd be cleared for a return to the lineup. However, considering he's missed the last 17 games, the Nets are going to remain cautious with him and keep his minutes down, so continue to temper expectations for Lin for the time being. It wouldn't be surprising if the Nets ended up bringing Lin off the bench for a few games while he gets his conditioning in order, which would allow Isaiah Whitehead to remain in the starting five. That said, Whitehead's value would still take a hit and should continue to diminish as Lin's workload increases.
