Lin (ankle) did not practice Wednesday and is not expected to play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Jazz. Lin sprained his ankle over the weekend and is easing his way back to full activity. While he's unlikely to play Thursday, teammate Steve Nash (back) suffering another setback should pave the way for Lin to start at point guard for the Lakers this season.
