Knight was suffering from some knee tendinitis entering the contest but was able to still log his customary amount of preseason playing time while also notching his third straight double-digit scoring effort. Knight also has one three-pointer in each of the last three contests and has been solid on the boards out of the two-guard spot, averaging 3.8 rebounds over four exhibition tilts. The sixth-year pro got the start due to Devin Booker (ankle) sitting out, but is expected to serve as the sixth man to open the regular season.
