Knight is expected to come off the bench to start the season as the Suns' sixth man, Paul Coro of AZcentral.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Knight started 50 of the 52 games he played in last season, before going down with a season-ending sports hernia injury. With Devin Booker showing himself as a high upside player, coach Earl Watson has decided he'll open the season with Booker as the starting shooting guard. Knight is still expected to play a big role off the bench as the team's sixth man, but after averaging 19.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists over 36 minutes per game a season ago, he'll more than likely see his numbers decrease across the board. Of course, if Booker does end up struggling early on, it wouldn't be surprising to see Knight jump back into the starting lineup.
