Knight (groin) is without a concrete return timetable, but he's expected to resume playing in the "near future," the Arizona Republic reports. "As I told Brandon, it's when you feel ready," Suns interim head coach Earl Watson said. "You never want to rush a player back because I've been injured and rushed back before and it leads to another injury. You have to just be careful and let him be accountable for his own decisions. He wants to play. We're sure of that 100 percent."
EDGE Analysis
Phoenix has struggled mightily in Knight's absence this season, going just 1-11 without him while also dealing with several other key injuries, most notably to Eric Bledsoe (knee), who's out for the year. Archie Goodwin has been filling in at point guard of late, but veteran Ronnie Price figures to take over that spot once he's back from a toe injury. Whenever Knight returns, he'll reclaim the starting designation, and the expectation is that he'll be joined by rookie Devin Booker in the backcourt.
