Kilpatrick finished with seven points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five assists and four rebounds across 28 minutes in Wednesday's 110-96 loss to the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Pressed into the starting lineup with Jeremy Lin (hamstring), Isaiah Whitehead (concussion) and Caris LeVert (foot) out, Kilpatrick surprisingly posted his fewest points of the season, due in large part to the off shooting night. While seeing more action at point guard aided Kilpatrick's assist total, he turned the ball over four times, negating most of his impact as a playmaker. Lin is still a week or more away from returning, but assuming Whitehead is able to make a swift recovery from the concussion, Kilpatrick should be able to reclaim his more natural off-the-ball role on the team's second unit before long.
