Kevin McHale will not commit to a starting PG for opening night, telling reporters, "I have to submit my starting lineup around 5:45 on Wednesday. Things can always change." McHale's coy refusal to name a starter doesn't obscure the position-battle brewing at PG between Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverley. Last week he said the Rockets would "be trying different lineups in November and December," and anyone drafting a Houston PG should buckle up until McHale settles on a rotation.
