Josh Howard (quad), who missed Tuesday's game, is not expected to play on Thursday against the Mavericks. He isn't practicing on Wednesday, and Howard has been dealing with the quad injury since the beginning of January so the Jazz won't rush him back into action. Expect Howard to allow the injury to heal to 100 percent before he returns to the court. Gordon Hayward, Raja Bell and Alec Burks will all soak up some extra time while Howard is out.
