Jones reached an agreement with the Cavaliers on Tuesday to return on a one-year, $1.55 million contract for the 2016-17 season, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Jones will be back in Cleveland, and this will mark his sixth straight season playing on a minimum contract. While the veteran's role has diminished considerably over the past few years, he remains a valuable locker room presence and close confidant of defending Finals MVP LeBron James. Like James, Jones will be seeking his seventh consecutive Finals appearance.
