Jim Buss said that Andrew Bynum is an "incredible All-Star center and you can build the future around him." Bynum's biggest advocate in the organization has always been Buss. He has shown a previous unwillingness to part with Bynum in a trade, and these comments reflect just how high Buss is on Bynum's future with the Lakers. Los Angeles will pick up Bynum's contract option for the coming season and is expected to begin extension talks at some point with Bynum's camp as well.
