Jeremy Lin was bottled up by a suffocating Heat defense as the Knicks lost handily on Thursday, with Lin going 1-of-11 from the field for eight points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals, and eight turnovers. The Knicks struggled in all phases of the game tonight, so it's unfair to put this completely at Lin's feet, but he looked pretty bad at times tonight. The Heat employed an overplaying, pressure defense and both teams were the recipient of bad calls (and non-calls). The result was a Knicks offense that looked discombobulated, and while Melo (19 points, 7-of-20 FGs) wasn't a ball-stopper, the team is clearly struggling to integrate its new players. A game against a jacked up Heat team didn't help. Backup PG Baron Davis went 0-for-7 from the field in the loss, and looked like a shell of his former self. Expect the Knicks to bounce back after the break.
