Jazz coach Quin Snyder confirmed Gobert would start at center this season, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given the huge minutes he logged from January onward last season, there wasn't any real doubt that Gobert would top Utah's depth chart at center in 2015-16. In just two seasons in the NBA, Gobert has already established himself as one of the league's preeminent rim protectors, and still has plenty of untapped potential on the offensive end. Fantasy players will draft Gobert for the huge rebound and block totals that he's virtually certain to provide in guaranteed minutes this season, but it's that unrealized offensive upside that could take his value to even greater heights. Gobert shot a robust 60.4 percent from the field last season, so if he can simply raise his shot attempts from the five-per-game to the seven- or eight-per-game range, he should crank out double-doubles with relative ease.
