Jason Maxiell had just six points, four rebounds and zero blocks in Wednesday's ugly loss to the Raptors. Maxiell has gone from a rebounding and shot-blocking beast to a guy averaging eight points, three rebounds and less than a block over his last five. And while Lawrence Frank still doesn't sound like he's ready to give up and start Andre Drummond, it simply makes no sense for him not to. The Pistons are 7-21 and have lost six straight games, and replacing Maxiell with Drummond (6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block, 20 minutes) makes sense on every conceivable level. Riding Maxiell was fun when he was hot, but it appears the party is over.
