Hayes has accepted a position in the Nuggets' front office, Mike Richman of The Oregonian reports.
EDGE Analysis
After getting cut by the Clippers in training camp last fall, Hayes quickly latched on with the Rockets, but appeared in just two games before getting released in November. Hayes was unable to find work after that and appears to have retired from playing the game competitively, given his decision to work in a management role. The 33-year-old, who forged an 11-year career in the NBA as a 6-foot-6 power forward/center, will likely have solid wisdom to impart on the Nuggets' collection of young big men.
