Hawes (back) participated in shooting drills at the end of practice on Sunday, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Sunday marked Hawes' first activity since injuring his back over two weeks ago. He is still likely a few days from returning to in-game form, but his participation in drills is a positive sign. In the meantime, Frank Kaminsky and Al Jefferson will continue to serve as the Hornets' top frontcourt reserves.
