Aldridge (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) posted 12 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds and two blocks in 27 minutes Thursday in the Nets' 110-102 loss to the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge was one of four players Brooklyn welcomed back from stints in the protocols, with Kevin Durant, Cam Thomas and David Duke also making their returns. Though he had been starting at center prior to missing the Nets' previous five games, Aldridge shifted over to power forward Thursday, forming a supersized frontcourt with Nicolas Claxton. One of Aldridge or Claxton will move to the bench when the likes of Kyrie Irving (conditioning) and Joe Harris (ankle) are available, but Aldridge should be secure in a 20-plus-minute role for the time being.
