Gobert is finalizing a four-year deal with the Jazz worth roughly $101 million, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the NBA's early contract extension deadline looming at midnight Monday, it appears Gobert and the Jazz have hammered out the framework of a long-term deal that will keep the big man in Utah for the foreseeable future. The 27th overall pick in the 2013 draft played sparingly as a rookie but has since emerged as one of the league's premier defensive players at any position. Last season, the 24-year-old ranked seventh in the NBA in rebounds per game, third in blocks per game, and fifth in individual defensive rating. Gobert is off to a strong start in 2016-17, averaging 11.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.7 assists through three games.
