Gee (quad) is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Pelicans, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The deal is not finalized to this point, so there's obviously a chance it falls through. However, if all goes well, Gee will re-sign with the Pelicans, where he most recently played in 73 games during the 2015-16 campaign and posted averages of 4.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist over 22 minutes. The 30-year-old journeyman has played for six different teams during his seven-year career, so Gee will finally have the opportunity for some familiarity by staying with New Orleans. Gee will likely just be a depth option at small forward, so he'll remain restricted in his fantasy potential.
