Gasol will come off the bench Friday against the Clippers for the first game back from his injury, despite being listed as the starter earlier in the day, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

It was reported earlier by Paul Garcia of Project Spurs that Gasol would start Friday's contest, but coach Gregg Popovich has seemingly had a change of heart, and has opted to continue starting Dewayne Dedmon at the five for the time being. It's unclear whether or not Gasol will be on a minutes restriction, or see less than his usual 26.4 minutes per game, but it's likely that he'll regain his role as a starter sooner than later.
