Gasol recorded 16 points (7-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Monday's 96-91 win over the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol might have benefited from a few extra touches with LaMarcus Aldridge and Tony Parker sitting out for rest, but the veteran big man had already been in the midst of his best stretch of production of the season. With 28 or more minutes in six straight games, Gasol has seemed to fully earn the trust of coach Gregg Popovich, and is averaging 17.3 points (on 52.4% shooting), 7.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 blocks per game during that span. The Spurs may still look to get the 36-year-old some days off during future back-to-back sets, but for now, his value looks to have stabilized.
