Gasol put up 21 points (10-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal across 36 minutes in Friday's 96-86 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol has been one of fantasy basketball's biggest disappointments in the early going, but it's had more to do with how coach Gregg Popovich has limited his minutes rather than a drastic downturn in the big man's productivity. While Gasol's age and deficiencies on the defensive end may continue to regularly inhibit his outputs, the 36-year-old at least showcased the outstanding stat lines he's capable of delivering when he receives a full workload. However, with the second half of a back-to-back set on tap Saturday against the Rockets, don't be surprise if Gasol sees his playing time drop off dramatically, if he's not held out of the entire contest for rest.
