Gasol showcased his strong passing skills and turned in an efficient shooting outing, but he's still looking for his first double-digit scoring game of the season. The real issue has been his lack of playing time; coach Gregg Popovich has used him between 18 and 22 minutes through the Spurs' first three games. Gasol's shortcomings on the defensive end may be significant enough for Popovich to consider deploying the veteran in a timeshare at center with Dewayne Dedmon until further notice.
