Former NBA big man Sean Marks will join the Spurs as an assistant coach this season. Marks retired in 2011 after an 11-year NBA career. A position on the Spurs' coaching staff suggests he'll have a fruitful career on the sidelines -- Gregg Popovich's assistants have repeatedly been poached by other teams in need of a head coach, including this summer's departure of Brett Brown (76ers) and Mike Budenholzer (Hawks).
