Whiteside recorded his second double-double in as many games Saturday against the Wizards, finishing with 18 points (8-9 FG, 2-3 FT), 14 rebounds and four blocks in 20 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside has revived himself the last two games, combining for 32 points, 24 rebounds and six blocks. It will be hard for Whiteside to keep up this pace in a backup role behind Rudy Gobert but he has certainly showed he can provide some late-round fantasy value on any given night. Whiteside still presents great risk in lineups given Saturday was just the second time all year he has eclipsed the 20-minute mark. The Jazz also have a three-game week coming up and don't play again until Wednesday, limiting the appeal for Whiteside as well.
