This will be the fourth time this season the Spurs have chosen to rest their star veteran. It does not come as much of a surprise considering how close the game is to Christmas, and owners were certainly aware Duncan would occasionally sit out games to rest. He should return Monday when the Spurs welcome the Timberwolves to town.
