Dieng scored 13 points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, two assists and a block in 38 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Since moving into the starting lineup three games ago, Dieng is averaging 18.0 points, 11.3 boards and 1.0 steals in 34.7 minutes while shooting 63.6 percent (21-for-33) from the floor, and he appears to be an excellent frontcourt complement to rookie Karl-Anthony Towns. The T-wolves are 0-3 during that stretch, however, so there's no guarantee Dieng will remain in the starting five over the long haul despite his impressive run. Enjoy the production spike while it lasts, but have a backup plan ready.
