Cook signed a contract with the Pelicans on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
After going undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft a year ago, Cook joined the Cavaliers for training camp, but was unable to crack the team's final roster. Instead, he spent the year developing in the NBA D-League with the Canton Charge, where he went on to be named the 2015-16 NBA Development League Rookie of the Year award with averages of 19.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.2 steals over 33.8 minutes per game. He'll now join the Pelicans on what is likely a non-guaranteed training camp deal and currently faces long odds on making the team's final roster.
