Cook and the Pelicans agreed to a two-year deal on Saturday, Chris Haynes of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cook tore up the D-League for much of the season before spending time with both the Mavericks and Pelicans. While Cook has only averaged 6.0 minutes per game through five appearances for the Pels, the team has apparently been impressed, and Cook's new contract will now bind him to the team through the remainder of this season, as well as the 2017-18 campaign. It's quite possible that the deal is not fully guaranteed for next season, though the Pelicans have not yet released the terms of the agreement.
