Conley played 23 minutes while coming off the bench in Friday's 90-81 loss to the Heat, finishing with 15 points (5-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal.
EDGE Analysis
Grizzlies coach David Fizdale brought Conley off the bench for the first time all season as a means of limiting the point guard's workload for the front end of a back-to-back set, with Andrew Harrison entering the starting five in his stead. Though the Grizzlies weren't able to come away with a victory, Fizdale successfully reduced Conley's workload, with the floor general seeing his fewest minutes of the season. The Grizzlies aren't likely to formally announce their lineup plans for Saturday's rematch with the Heat until shortly before tip off, but the expectation is that Conley will reenter the starting five in place of Harrison and see a more typical 30-plus minute load.
