Coach Kenny Atkinson confirmed that Lin (hamstring) will start at point guard in Friday's game against the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
The Nets indicated several days ago that they anticipated Lin would return for the team's first game after the All-Star break, but it wasn't clear whether or not he would immediately settle back into a starting role following a 26-game absence due to a strained hamstring. However, Atkinson put that mystery to bed at the Nets' morning shootaround, so it looks like Lin could be in store for a normal workload right off the bat. The point guard has been limited to just 12 games this season due to the recurring hamstring injuries, but has been effective when he's taken the court. He's averaging 13.9 points, 5.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 25.0 minutes per game, and should warrant a pickup in just about every fantasy format now that he's healthy again. Spencer Dinwiddie and Isaiah Whitehead will likely see their playing time tail off now that Lin is available.
